What degree of protection is provided by Kockon?Genesis Kockon offerts a total, effective protection, contrary to what most other systems can guarantee. Kockon is an effective barrier to theft which takes place through the tank neck, it is not simply a deterrent.
Which services are included in the Genesis proposition?The Genesis proposition is made up of hardware, software and in some cases, service, all of which gives access to protection and control of the fuel used by the vehicle.
Do the Genesis Electronic fuel caps require wire connections?There are versions for wired connection and Wireless versions. In the wireless versions, the fuel cap connects to a dedicated receiver unit which is installed in the cabin of the vehicle, via radio frequency, eliminating the need to run wires along the vehicle’s chassis, between the cabin and the tank.
Can I easily remove Kockon once it is installed in my tank?No, in order to guarantee maximum security, our products cannot be easily removed after installation.
Does anything change during refueling?No, nothing changes. The flow rate and refueling time are unvaried. Most of the Genesis Kockons are guaranteed for use at up to 120 lt/min. In some cases, as in those involving the smaller VX products for commercial vehicles, the flow rate is 80 lt/min.
Are Genesis products ready to use or do they require additional accessories?The majority of Genesis products are ready made, “out of the box”. In some cases they are sold as modules which need to be completed by the addition of another module in order to be used. This is done to cater for special configurations which often prove useful in numerous situations.
Can I reuse my original fuel cap?Often, the original cap can be reused, in other cases, when the original cap can’t be used, a replacement cap is provided with the Kockon device itself.
Is Kockon easy to install?Yes, Kockon is installed easily through a simple patented system which only requires you to insert and twist the device until it locks, no drilling, no rivets, no glues are necessary.
Are Genesis products compatible with my tank?Genesis devices are compatible with over 90% of the tanks present on heavy vehicles which circulate in Europe and numerous other countries. We are often also asked to evaluate specific special applications, where we often succeed providing an effective solution, and the range is now broadening in order to include vehicles which originate outside of Europe.
Are Genesis products secure?Yes, our products are secure: Zipper, for example, complies with the most recent EU regulations (70/221 CE, 2000/8 CE, 2006/20 CE). All products are tested, most are patented and all are produced in Italy, following stringent QC policy and manufacturing process.
How much can I save by using Genesis products?On a statistical basis, based on a western European sample from 2004-2005, the amount of fuel which is subject to mis-appropriation is estimated around 4%. More recently we have come across cases where this number peaks at around 20%. Being that our products TOTALLY prevent theft from the tank neck, they give fleet operators a major saving. Such saving will turn into pure ROI once the very brief amortization period is over.
Can Genesis products be used on vehicles equipped with third party telematics?Yes, the range of products belonging to the TELEMATIC CONVERGENT category of products are designed to be integrated with third party telematics hardware (and software), assuming the basic integration process between the two systems has taken place.
